On the shores of Lake Bunn, in the heart of Småland, southern Sweden, you'll find Solängens Lillstuga – a small lakeside cottage where quiet mornings, evening swims and unhurried days come naturally.

Days to remember.
Start with a swim from the jetty, just 40 metres from the cottage, or take your coffee down to the water. Row across Lake Bunn, follow the narrow, almost enchanted canal, or spend the afternoon reading in the shade. Some days become small adventures. Others are memorable precisely because very little was planned.
The cottage
Small, personal and thoughtfully arranged.
The cottage is compact, warm and welcoming from the moment you step inside. The daybed, sleeping loft, small kitchen and carefully chosen details make good use of every metre. It has just what you need – and when the weather turns, it is a cosy place to settle in after a day by the lake.
The terrace
The place you'll probably use the most.
Breakfast in the morning sun. Long lunches under the parasol. Evening barbecues, a final cup of coffee and skies that often turn soft pink and gold as the sun goes down. Together with the jetty, the terrace is where many of the best hours at Solängen are spent.
Beyond the cottage
There's more to discover.
Take the rowing boat out on Lake Bunn, bring your own paddleboard, or hire a canoe locally and explore the narrow canal towards Lake Ören. Discover the surrounding countryside on foot or take a trip to Gränna, Visingsö and other places nearby. Some guests fill every day with new adventures. Others are happiest staying close to the lake.

Hi, I'm Åsa.
Solängen was the name my grandparents gave this place, and it has remained part of our family ever since. I take care of the bookings and guest contact for Solängens Lillstuga, so you will always be in direct contact with me before and during your stay.
Guests usually have the property to themselves, although I may occasionally be staying in the main house. When I am there, I always respect your privacy.

Important to know before booking
- Cleaning
- Guests are responsible for cleaning the cottage before departure and leaving it in the same good condition as on arrival.
- Bed linen & towels
- Guests bring their own bed linen and towels.
- Sleeps
- Up to 4 guests. One 160 cm loft bed and a sofa bed (2 × 80 cm).
- Kitchen
- Fully equipped kitchen with stove, oven, dishwasher, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine and Moccamaster.
- Bathroom
- Tiled bathroom with shower and underfloor heating.
- Outside
- Large private terrace, charcoal grill, direct lake access, jetty and rowing boat. Guests normally have the property to themselves; on rare occasions the host may be staying in the main house.
- Wi-Fi & entertainment
- Wi-Fi and Google TV.
- Rowing boat
- You’re welcome to use our rowing boat at no extra cost during your stay.
- Parking & EV charging
- Free parking on the property. EV charging is not permitted.
- Pets
- Unfortunately, pets are not allowed.
- Accessibility
- Unfortunately, the cottage has not been adapted for accessibility. There are steps up to the terrace and stairs inside the cottage. Please get in touch if you have any questions about the cottage's layout before your stay.
- Shopping
- There is no grocery shop within walking distance. We recommend shopping before arrival.

Planning your stay
Solängens Lillstuga is rented Sunday to Sunday, seven nights, at a fixed price for the whole week. Below you can see the season week by week — when the cottage is available, when it is not, and the price of each available week.

Booking information
How a booking works.
You send an enquiry and I reply personally. If I can accommodate the booking, you will receive an invitation to pay. The booking is confirmed once payment has been received.
- Payment
Once an enquiry has been accepted, the full rental price and a refundable security deposit of SEK 2,000 are payable to confirm the booking.
- Security deposit
A refundable security deposit of SEK 2,000 is paid together with the rental price and refunded normally within 7 days after departure, once the cottage has been checked and left in good condition.
It may be used to cover reasonable costs resulting from damage, missing items or insufficient cleaning.
- Arrival & departure
Check-in from 16:00.
Check-out by 10:00.
- Cancellation
Cancel 60 days or more before arrival and the rental price is refunded, less a cancellation fee of SEK 1,000. Closer to arrival, the rental price is non-refundable.
If I am able to rebook the cancelled dates, I will refund the amount received from the replacement booking, up to the amount originally paid for the rental. The security deposit is always refunded in full if the stay is cancelled.
- Insurance
Guests are responsible for ensuring that they have appropriate insurance cover for their stay, including personal liability and cancellation cover.
